Classification and indexing of the archival material of the G.S.A. – Lefkada Regional Department for the period 1684-1884
The classification and indexing of the archival material held by the GSA – Lefkada Regional Department covers the period 1684-1864 and was carried out in 2010 with the cooperation of the GSA of Lefkada and the Prefectural Government of Lefkada. With the sponsorship of the latter, the project was assigned to the National Research Foundation – Institute of Modern Greek Research (Department of Modern Greek Research of the Institute of Historical Research).
The scientific design of the classification project and its monitoring were carried out by the historian, Director of Research of the IER/NHRF, Mrs. Eftychia D. Liata, with collaborators and executors of the project, the historians – taxonomists Christina Papakosta, Georgios Violidakis and Sotiris Koutmanis. The recording at the folder or subfolder or store level was based on the International Standard for Archival Description (ISARD).
The classified archival material extends to 455 linear meters and the indexing data was included in a specially designed digital database (FileMaker) that contains 8,412 taxonomic records.
