Students are given:
Copy of the map of the castle of Agia Mavra from the book of the same name by N. Vagenas representing the fortress during the years of the Frankish occupation.
Brief information about the time of the Frankish occupation and in particular about the feudalist Gratianos Tzorgzis and the rebellion of the villagers against him in the year 1357.
The poem by A. Valaoritis “Foteinos”, in which specific passages have been highlighted.
Glossary for the idiomatic words they will meet in the poem.
Sketches of old agricultural tools.
Copies of photos found in G.A.K. Lefkada and depict agricultural activities at the beginning of the 20th century that do not differ from those described in the poem.

The students are asked, after processing with the help of their teacher the information given to them and visiting the Folklore Museum of Sfakiot:
